The days of battle have ended for King David, and he knows he is nearing the end. Perhaps it was during those long days in the palace that he began to reflect back on a life lived for the Lord (2 Samuel 22).
A mighty king ruling a great kingdom, David enjoyed absolute victory. Here’s a couple of his thoughts.
2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
2 Samuel 22:47 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
The same God that strengthened David is the same God who has promised to strengthen us (Isaiah 40:31).
Thank God, we are the partakers of His divine providence as we move through all the valleys, trials and burdens of our lives.
