Prayer

God answers prayer, changing circumstances and touching lives. Humble prayer marks the difference between mediocrity and greatness in the Christian life.

The proper motive for prayer is not to get our will done in Heaven, but to get God's will done in earth through us.
  • It’s not the arithmetic of our prayers — how many they are.
  • It’s not the rhetoric of our prayers — how eloquent they may be.
  • It’s not the geometry of our prayers — how long they be.
  • It’s not the logic of our prayers — how argumentative they may be.
  • It’s not the method of our prayers — how orderly they may be.
  • It’s the fervency of spirit which availeth much.
We are to pray, believing that God will hear us, and that He will answer our prayer in His way and in His time.

Luke 11:9-10 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

God Honors faithful praying, specific praying, and childlike praying.
