The death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary was the ultimate expression of God’s love for the lost.
Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Jesus Christ died in physical and spiritual agony to save His people from their sins. He did it not because we deserved it, but because He loved us and we couldn’t save ourselves.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
