Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
It was this very Sunday morning that Jesus fulfilled the ancient prophecy of Zechariah.
Mark 11:2-3 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him . And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
When that little donkey walked by with Jesus on his back — the Triumphant Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem — nobody saw the donkey. All eyes were on the Lord Jesus. That’s how it should be all the time.
The Lord used Him as His vehicle to get glory to His name. That’s what He wants to do with you and me.
Let’s yield to Him and let Him rule us as He sees fit.
