Jeremiah learned that whether things went well or things fell apart, God was still God and eternally faithful to His people, Lam. 3:21.
Because he believed in the faithfulness of His great God, he found hope in hopeless situations.
Lamentations 3:24-25 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Jeremiah is saying, “In the battle of life, God is my reward and my portion.”
When the Lord is viewed in this light, He will be all that we need to satisfy our soul, Psa. 103:5; Psa. 107:9.
Thankfully, the Bible gives overwhelming evidence that God is faithful.
Seek Him. Wait for Him. He will answer in time.
