God Is Faithful

After seeing his beloved Jerusalem ransacked, desecrated and destroyed — after the brutality of the enemy and the pangs of hunger, Jeremiah was still able to lift his voice in praise to God for His great, unfailing faithfulness to His people.
How was this possible? Jeremiah knew that whether things went well or everything fell apart, God would still be God, eternally faithful to His people.

Lamentations 3:22-24 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

[23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

[24] The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

We all go through stressful times when life is hard. What would we do without the assurance that God is faithful?

An old song comes to mind. “Where Could I Go But To The Lord?”

The Bible gives overwhelming evidence of the unchanging faithfulness of our great God.
