Something To Sing About

God blessed David, protected him, and sustained him because God loved him and took pleasure in their relationship. David wrote about it.

2 Samuel 22:20 He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

God will move heaven and earth to meet the need of His child. Here are a couple of His promise to us.

Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The thought that the God of the universe would condescend to bless us just because He takes pleasure in us is a thought too profound for the mind to grasp.

Think about God taking pleasure in us, working on our behalf, moving mountains, and meeting needs just because we delight Him!

That’s something worth singing about.

“There's within my heart a melody — Jesus whispers sweet and low, — Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still, — In all of life's ebb and flow.

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! — Sweetest Name I know, — Fills my every longing, — Keeps me singing as I go.”  — Luther Bridgers
