If It Had Not Been The Lord

Psalm 124:1,8   If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; . . . .
[8] Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

If not for the Lord, I wouldn’t have strength to make it through cancer.  —

. . . . I wouldn’t know the joy of salvation.

. . . . I couldn’t rejoice in the glory of His presence.

When I didn’t understand, He gave me peace with understanding.

When I strayed, He was there all the time, drawing me back, receiving me with outstretched arms.

He has been in every battle I’ve ever faced.

If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where wouldI be?

Chorus
“If it had not been for the Lord on my side,  —  Where would I be? Where would I be?  —  If it had not been for the Lord on my side,  —  Where would I be? Where would I be?

“He kept my enemies away.  —  He let the sun shine through a cloudy day.  —  He wrapped me in the cradle of his arms  —  When he knew I'd been battered and torn, so

“If it had not been for the Lord on my side,  —  Where would I be? Where would I be?

“He never left me all alone.  —  He gave me peace and joy I've never known.  —  He answered when I knelt down to pray, —  And in victory, the Lord showed me the way, so

“If it had not been for the Lord on my side,  —  Where would I be? Where would I be?”
