Romans 8:1-4 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
When Jesus comes into a believer’s life He changes everything. “In Christ Jesus” the Holy Spirit dwells within us, giving us the ability to stand against sin. This doesn’t suggest that we are perfect---thank God for grace!--- but the Lord makes new creatures of us, and we are no longer condemned.
“In Christ Jesus” we’ve been given the tools we need to live a holy life for His glory. The secret is in using them. Study God’s Word every day. Pray, trust, and obey every day.
“In Christ Jesus” we are His sheep and He is our Shepherd, and I claim this “eternal life” promise.
John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
