My greatest Christmas presents and memories pale beside God’s greatest gift to the world. Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me, for by His sacrifice on the cross is my salvation.
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
God’s gift was wrapped in love. It reaches to all humanity, to "Whosoever" will believe. You are in that world. We go to a hill called Calvary and see Jesus agonizing on the cruel cross, a sacrifice for the sins of mankind.
Jesus had the tenderest heart that ever beat in any human body, but there came from Him the most serious warnings about a terrible hell. He didn’t want anybody to perish in that place, so He died for the sins of the world. Only believe on Jesus.
God calls on us to trust His Son for eternal salvation. Have you done that?
