Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Mama used to win the prize on Mother’s Day at church for having the most children. With my three little ones, I found it a challenge to do everything right, to keep them safe and clean and healthy.
One day I asked her how she managed with so many of us. She told me that at one time she had five young ones under school age (my brother and I were twins), and occasionally she went outside and stood on the porch --- just a little while. I’m sure the Lord stood there with her. She was a virtuous woman, a godly woman who took us to church to learn about Jesus.
To the young mother, remember that you are human. No one expects perfection from you. You are allowed to make mistakes no matter how much your love your children.
To those not blessed with the children they wanted --- a prayer to get you through the day.
