There were times in David’s life when the gates of cities were closed to him. He couldn’t go to Jerusalem or the tabernacle to pray. His enemies wanted to kill him.
But the gates of Heaven -- even the Throne Room of God -- opened to his cry where he was.
2 Samuel 22:5-7 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
Have you ever been at the end of your distress rope and cried out to God? I have. I can tell you some victory stories.
This is the kind of blessing enjoyed by those who have an intimate relationship with their Lord. His ears are ever opened to their cries.
