God’s chosen people endured years of bondage in Babylon and then they returned to their land, a land ravaged by the enemy, and began the difficult task of rebuilding. Through it all they recognized that God had not forsaken them.
I thought of Hurricane Harvey flood victims who choose to return and rebuild, whenever that might be. Many wonder how they will make it from here.
Life is hard to bear at times. I can only imagine what these people are going through, but I know that God can help and He is faithful. He specializes in unanswered questions as their world crumbles around them.
In times like this, look to God. He is strong and powerful. Trust in Him and ask Him to help. Over and over, again and again He is faithful. He will make a way where there seems to be none.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
