Holy Ground

Serving the Lord and living for Him is not a burden; it’s a wonderful blessing. God didn’t have to provide a means for our salvation but He did. He doesn’t need us to accomplish His will, but He allows us to be a part of it.

It’s a miracle that God called Moses. He certainly wasn’t obligated. He could’ve easily delivered His people from Egypt without him, but He had a plan for Moses.

Exodus 3:2,5 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. . . .[5] And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

There was nothing special about the bush or the backside of the desert. What made this place special was that God was there and that made the place holy ground.

We have gotten too casual with God in our generation. It’s no insignificant thing to encounter the Lord. We should do so humbly and reverently if we want to be used of Him or experience His power.
