Isaiah 43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
God tells Israel how much He loves them and that He will keep them safe. He will take care of them.
How much does God love believers today? I can tell you this for sure. We were of such value to God that He “gave” His Son to redeem us from our sins, John 3:16.
So, I know God loves me, and I’m humbled by His love when I come before Him in prayer. But I feel so unworthy.
I read that we are precious to Him — precious to the Almighty Creator. Why?
Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
“Why did He go to Calvary? — Why was His life’s blood shed for me? — Why did He suffer as no man has ever done? — There’s just one reason – I am the one.
“He loves me. He loves me. — Jesus loves me. — He loves me. He loves me. — Jesus loves me.
“When I’m sad, He loves me. — Even when I’m bad, He loves me. — When it seems no one cares for me, — I talk to Jesus. He loves me.” — George Amon Webster
