2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
[9] Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
[10] Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
These verses speak to those who are suffering for their faith or bearing burdens from the natural problems and valleys of life.
The Apostle Paul uses some pretty descriptive language, describing his valleys as times of pain.
He’s troubled in every way, place and occasion but not crushed.
He’s perplexed, wondering which way to go, yet with hope.
He’s persecuted, hunted like an animal, knowing by the grace of God he won’t perish.
He’s cast down, still trusting the Lord.
The valleys Paul faced were chances for him to prove that God was truly God.
Regardless of how difficult life becomes, God has promised grace sufficient for whatever you may face in life, 2 Cor. 12:9.

“I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender — They're leading me in paths that I must trod. — I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me, — For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.
“So let the storms rage high, — The dark clouds rise, — They don't worry me. — For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God. — He walks with me — And naught of earth shall harm me. — For I'm sheltered in the arms of God
“Soon I shall hear the call from Heaven's portals, — "Come home, My child, it's the last mile you must trod." — I'll fall asleep and wake in God's new heaven, — For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.”
