Precious Lord, Lead Me Home

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Precious Lord,Take my Hand

__________________________

Precious Lord, take my hand,— Lead me on, let me stand.—  I am tired, I am weak, I am worn  —   Through the storm, through the night,  —   Lead me on to the light:   —  Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me home.

When my way grows drear,— Precious Lord, linger near,— When my life is almost gone, —Hear my cry, hear my call, — Hold my hand lest I fall: —Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me ho me.precious Lord,— Lead me home.

When the darkness appears — And the night draws near, —  And the day is past and gone; — At the river, I stand, —  Guide my feet, hold my hand: —  Take my hand, precious Lord,   —  Lead me home.

Seeking For Me

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Here is another song you may not know, but it has been a blessing to me. The Cathedrals sang it.

I had it about ready to blog before my neck and back stopped everything.

Since renewing my old meds, my hands are better.

Seeking For Me

_____________________

From the splendor of heaven   —  To the world down below   —From a manger to an old rugged tree   —   From the dawn of creation   —   Thro' the corridors of time   —

The Savior was seeking for me.

CHORUS:

He was seeking for me, Jesus was seeking for His me — Tho' I knew Him not  — Still He loved me — And was seeking for me.   —  He was seeking for me seeking —   Jesus was seeking for me. —  Tho' I knew Him not   —  Still He loved me  — and was seeking for me.

He was reaching for me — But I rejected His touch — Instead I reached for other things  —   I thought meant so much —Things of value in earth's market   —   I had sought all of them.  —   But all the time I was seeking,   —    I was seeking for Him.

So I reached out to Jesus — Crying, Lord, hear my plea — For I want You to have all of me.— Then out of darkness I saw His light of love, — Giving me a brand new start. — O praise the Lord, Jesus found me   — When I gave Him all my heart.    Hhh

Thank You, Lord, For Your Blessings on me

Psalm 104:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

On this Thanksgiving Day of November 25, 2021, may we consider the many blessings the good Lord has bestowed upon us and our families.

Thank You, Lord, For Your Blessings on Me

The world looks upon me — as I struggle along, —They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong. — In my heart I'm rejoicing, how I wish they could see. Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me.

CHORUS:

There's a roof up above me, — I've a good place to sleep.    —   There's food on my table — And shoes on my feet. — You gave me your love, Lord, —  And a fine family. —  Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.

Now, I know I'm not wealthy, — and these clothes , they're not new. —  I don't have much money, — but, Lord, I have you.    —   And to me that's all that matters, — though the world cannot see. — Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me.

Farther Along

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

There are times we don’t understand why bad thangs happen to good people.

When Jesus comes things will be better.

Farther Along

______________________

Tempted and tried, we’re oft made to wonder   —   Why it should be thus all the day long;   —   While there are others living about us,   —   Never molested, though in the wrong.

CHORUS:

Farther along we’ll know more about it,   —   Farther along we’ll understand why;   —   Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,   —   We’ll understand it all by and by.

Often when death has taken our loved ones,   —   Leaving our home so lone and so drear,   —   Then do we wonder why others prosper,   —   Living so wicked year after year.

“Faithful till death,” saith our loving Master   —    Short is our time to labor and wait;   —   Then will our toiling seem to be nothing,   —   When we shall pass the heavenly gate.

Soon we will see our dear, loving Savior,   —   Hear the last trumpet sound through the sky;   —   Then we will meet those gone on before us,   —   Then we shall know and understand why.

There are contradictory claims for the authorship of this song. The words and music are frequently attributed to W. B. Stevens, although others have attributed the words to W. A. Fletcher.  1911

I’ll Have A New Life

1 Corinthians 15:52-54  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [

53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

“At the last trump, the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Can’t wait

I’ll Have A New Life

On the resurrection morning  —  When all the dead in Christ shall rise  —  I'll have a new body,  —  Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.  —  Sewed in weakness, raised in power  —  Ready to live in Paradise,  —  I'll have a new body,  —  Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.

CHORUS:

I'll have a new home of life eternal  —  Where the redeemed of God shall stand.  —  There'll be no more sorrow,  —  No more pain, there'll be no more strife.  —  Raised in the likeness of my Savior  —  Ready to live in Glory Land.  —  I'll have a new body,  —  Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.

What a hallelujah morning when the  —  last trump of God shall sound.  —  I'll have a new body,  —  Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.   —  Graves all bursting saints all shouting  —  Heavenly beauty all around.  —  I'll have a new body,  —  Praise the Lord, I'll have a new life.

Victory in Jesus

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

We are born children of God by faith in Jesus Christ, and faith is the only way in which you and I will be able to overcome this world around us.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Victory in Jesus

______________________

I heard an old, old story, — How a Savior came from glory,— How He gave His life on Calvary  —   To save a wretch like me;  —   I heard about His groaning,  —   Of His precious blood’s atoning,  —   Then I repented of my sins  —   And won the victory.

CHORUS:

O victory in Jesus,  —   My Savior, forever.  —   He sought me and bought me  —   With His redeeming blood;  —   He loved me ere I knew Him  —   And all my love is due Him,  —   He plunged me to victory,  —   Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about His healing,  —   Of His cleansing pow’r revealing.  —   How He made the lame to walk again  —   And caused the blind to see;  —   And then I cried, “Dear Jesus,  —   Come and heal my broken spirit,”  —   And somehow Jesus came and bro’t  —   To me the victory.

I heard about a mansion — He has built for me in glory. — and I heard about the streets of gold — Beyond the crystal sea; — About the angels singing, —  And the old redemption story,  —

And some sweet day I’ll sing up there  —   The song of victory.

Footsteps of Jesus

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Jesus suffering at Calvary for our redemption is not an example for us. Believers cannot imitate it.

But, He did leave us an example.

In Nazareth during His first thirty years He suffered ridicule and misunderstanding.

Then, when He moved out in a public ministry, the gospel records tell us how He suffered for righteousness’ sake.

When you and I suffer for our faith, we remember the example He left for us in that connection.

Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling,   —   “Come, follow Me!” — And we see where Thy footprints falling — Lead us to Thee.

CHORUS:

Footprints of Jesus, — That make the pathway glow; — We will follow the steps of Jesus — Where’er they go.

Though they lead o’er the cold, dark mountains,   —   Seeking His sheep; — Or along by Siloam’s fountains, — Helping the weak.

If they lead through the temple holy,   —   Preaching the Word;   —   Or in homes of the poor and lowly,   —   Serving the Lord.

Then, at last, when on high He sees us,   —   Our journey done,   —   We will rest where the steps of Jesus   —   End at His throne.

I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Between Paul and the world there was a cross.

That should be the position of every believer today.

That will have more to do with shaping your conduct than anything else.

You will just glory in the Cross and the One who died there.

CHORUS:

I believe in a hill called mount Calvary.  —   I believe whatever the cost.  —   And when time has surrendered and earth is no more  —    I'll still cling to the old rugged cross.

I believe the Christ who was slain on the cross  —   has the power to change lives today.  —   For He changed me completely, a new life is mine.  —   That is why by the cross I will stay.

I believe that this life with it's great mysteries  —    Surely one day will come to an end.  —   But faith will conquer the darkness and death  —   And will lead me at last to my Friend.

This Looks Like Home to Me

John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

It’s an awesome wonder that our new home is mid golden streets, jasper walls, angelic hosts, crystal rivers, endless days, and even seeing those who have gone on before,

But the thought of all these wonders pale when I look upon the face of Jesus,  the One who died for my sins on Calvary.

That Sounds Like Home to Me

Somewhere just across the Jordan River   —   Is a place of everlasting joy and peace,   —   Where the stream of life is flowing there forever.   —   And the crown of life is waiting there for me.

CHORUS:

That sounds like home to me   —   Like where I want to be.  —   There’ll be no tears to fill our eyes again.  —   The hills will echo with the story as we sing of His grace and glory,    —   Where the saints of God will be.   —   That sounds like home to me.

They say there’s only joy inside the city.   —   Little children playing by the tree of life.    —   No pain, no disappointments there will hurt us,  —  And Jesus Himself will be the light.

His Eye Is on the Sparrow

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

[30] But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

[31] Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

The Lord takes care of the little sparrows, and He cares more for you.

God knows where the sparrow is, and He knows where you are.

You will never get to the place where He doesn’t know where you are or care for you.

His Eye Is on the Sparrow

Why should I feel discouraged?   —  Why should the shadows come?  —  Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home?  —  When Jesus is my portion?   —  My constant Friend is He:  —  His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

CHORUS:

I sing because I’m happy — I sing because I’m free. —  For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear.  —  And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears.  —  Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see.  —  His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;

Whenever I am tempted. —  Whenever clouds arise.  —  When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies:  —  I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free.  —  His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;

Count Your Blessings

Psalm 40:5   Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

My, how the Cross reveals God’s love for us! I am thankful.

Count the wonderful works God has done in your life. We are so blessed.

Actually, His blessings are more than  we can count.

Count Your Blessings

_________________________

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,   —   When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,   —   Count your many blessings, name them one by one,   —   And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

CHORUS:

Count your blessings, name them one by one,   —   Count your blessings, see what God has done!   —   Count your blessings, name them one by one,   —   *Count your many blessings, see what God has done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?   —   Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?   —   Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,   —   And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,   —   Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;   —   Count your many blessings— money cannot buy   —   Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,   —   Do not be discouraged, God is over all;   —   Count your many blessings, angels will attend,  —  Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Leave it There

Psalm 55:22  Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Is something bothering you?

Take your burden to the Lord in prayer, and leave it there—don’t pick it up again.

Jesus cares about you.

Leave it There

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,   —  And you have to get along with meager fare,   —  Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird.   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

CHORUS:

Leave it there, leave it there,   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there;   —  If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,   —  And your soul is almost sinking in despair,   —  Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal.   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail, — Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;   —  He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on, — And your body bends beneath the weight of care;   —  He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.   —  Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

That Will BE A Glad Reunion Day

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

It is a comfort to know that we will see our loved ones who have gone on to meet the Lord.

That Will Be A Glad Reunion Day

_______________________________

There will be a happy meeting in Heaven, I know. — When we see the many loved ones we've known here below. — Gathered on that blessed hilltop with hearts all aglow, — That will be a glad reunion day.

CHORUS:

A glad day, a wonderful day. — Glad day, a glorious day. — There with all the holy angels and loved ones to stay, — That will be a glad reunion day.

When we live a million years in that wonderful place, — Basking in the love of Jesus, beholding His face. — It will seem but just a moment of praising God's grace. — That will be a glad reunion day.

Beulah Land

Isaiah 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

When you look at that land today, the word that comes to mind is forsaken—desolate.

But in the coming Kingdom Israel shall be called Hephzibah, which means “delightful.”

“And thy land Beulah”—Beulah means “married.” In other words, the King is present to protect it, and His presence means joy.

Beulah Land I'm longing for you  —  And some day on thee I'll stand. —  There my home shall be eternal.  —   Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land.

As the Deer

Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

Do you ever get thirsty to worship the Lord mid the worldly hustle in your face?  You don;t have to wait til Sunday.

Step aside and open your heart to Him. Tell Him how you love Him and thank Him for all He does for you.

Stay there awhile and quince your thirsty soul.

You're my friend and You are my brother,  —  Even though you are a king.  —  I love you more than any other,  —  So much more than anything.

Face to Face

Revelation 22:3-4 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

[4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

At last, believers will see the face of Jesus.

It is the highest objective for living. What divine satisfaction!

I can’t wait.

Only faintly now I see Him   —   With the darkened veil between,   —   But a blessed day is coming   —   When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence,  —  When are banished grief and pain; —  When the crooked ways are straightened  —  And the dark things shall be plain.

Jesus is All The World to Me

Philippians 1:21  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

The most important thing in the life of a Christian is knowing  Jesus Christ is in his/her life.— to having fellowship with Him so that He is all the world to you.

So, If living in Christ is wonderful, then to die would be more of Christ. That would be gain (more wonderful). .

Jesus is All The World to Me

Jesus is all the world to me,  —  My life, my joy, my all;  —  He is my strength from day to day, —  Without Him I would fall.— When I am sad, to Him I go, — No other one can cheer me so;   —   When I am sad, He makes me glad,   —   He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, — My Friend in trials sore; — I go to Him for blessings, and — He gives them o’er and o’er. — He sends the sunshine and the rain,   —   He sends the harvest’s golden grain;   —   Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain,   —   He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, — And true to Him I’ll be; — Oh, how could I this Friend deny,— When He’s so true to me? — Following Him I know I’m right,— He watches o’er me day and night; — Following Him by day and night,   —   He’s my Friend.

Jesus is all the world to me, — I want no better Friend; — I trust Him now, I’ll trust Him when   —   Life’s fleeting days shall end.   —   Beautiful life with such a Friend,   —   Beautiful life that has no end;   —   Eternal life, eternal joy,   —   He’s my Friend.
