My Shepherd, My Lord

Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

God  didn't redeem us just to escape hell or feel good from time to time or look down our long religious noses at our lost neighbors and feel superior. He saved us to serve Him. He has a plan for our lives, and He’ll use us if we will serve Him.

If we ever grasp the truth that "The LORD is my Shepherd" it will forever transform us. If you are a born again Christian, you belong to the Chief Shepherd, and He will take care of the needs that arise in your life.

The problem is that many of us haven’t learned to trust Him as we should. We pray about a need and then promptly try to meet it ourselves. That’s totally impossible. We need to knock out all the props that support us and totally commit ourselves to a life of faith, trusting the Lord to take care of us.
