There’s a warfare going on in the believer’s life between the flesh and the spirit (Rom. 7:15-25). The flesh wants to hinder our praying, our Bible study, our witness, our faithfulness, and our obedience. Thank God for grace. We're not perfect, but no believer wants to be a spiritual failure.
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
We determine who we surrender to---the flesh or the spirit. The Spirit gives believers victory over the flesh. That’s why it’s important to pray, confess our sins, and study God’s Word. Are you walking in the Spirit? How do you know?
Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
In the life of the believer the Spirit always produces fruit (Matt. 7:20).
