Surrender

Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

The woman is Mary (John 12:3),  Some of the dinner guests said the expensive ointment ($15,000 + today) was a waste and should’ve been sold and the money given to the poor.

Mark 14:6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

The Lord honors worship. He is seeking  those who surrender everything they have, everything they are, and everything they hope to be for His glory.

He’s looking for those who will merely respond when He speaks to them, those about whom He can say, "They have done all they could."
