While Jeremiah languished in prison for preaching the message of God, the Lord came to him with words of hope.
In this great prayer, Jeremiah presents the evidence that God is a mighty God.
Jeremiah 32:17-18 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
[18] Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name,
Jeremiah not only describes God the creator, but that God also shows loving kindness, grace, mercy, and provision.
He is the God of miracles and power. He is the God Who moves heaven and earth, and suspends the very laws of nature, if necessary, to meet the needs of His children:
—- Elijah —- the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace — Daniel in the lions den — the Widow of Zarepath — the disciples in the storm. — Lazarus, etc.
Regardless of what lies in your path, remember this: if you are His, you belong to a mighty God. He can be trusted to take care of you.
