Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
The great eagle is held to the ground by the same gravity that holds us.
But when the great eagle stretches those massive wings, with one great flap it’s airborne, quickly rising — breaking the grip of gravity — until it’s able to soar above this world with its dangers, strife and problems.
When we learn to “hope in the Lord” we find that same freedom from things that bind us, allowing us to soar above the difficulties of this life.
The secret here is to “wait on the Lord”. He will make you strong again.
