What Matters Most

What matters most is not how smart you are.
What matters most is not how wealthy, not how popular, not how famous nor how well liked you are.

What matters most is how well you love. When you learn to love like Jesus loves, you have discovered what matters most.

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.

The bottom line is this: these were the same instruments used in heathen worship.

The person who uses his tongue in a spiritual fashion yet does not do so with the love of God in him, that person is no better than a heathen worshiper.

In fact, his worship is man centered and not God centered.

To be like God, we must learn to love like God.  When we can do this, our world will be altered for His glory.

Ideas for this unprofitable blog are taken from The Sermon Notebook—Biblical resources for preachers and teachers of the word of God. They allow these sermons to be used as the Lord leads but not for profit.
