From The Manger To The Cross

Jesus was a baby born to die. He had been expected since the fall in the Garden of Eden – Gen. 3:15.

Every lamb, ram, goat, bird, etc., that had been sacrificed down through the ages pointed to this special birth.

He is why —  Noah built an Ark, Abraham built an Altar, Moses built a Tabernacle, Solomon built a Temple, and God built a Hill called Calvary.

The Jewel of Heaven came down to earth to be our Savior.

A man by the name of Odell McLeod wrote about it in this old song — “From The Manger To The Cross”.

“Amidst the stranger's cattle, where the birth of Jesus came, — The lonely manger kept Him from the cold. — And there was the beginning of the journey Jesus made. — Today it is the greatest story told

“From the manger to the cross, rugged cross of Calvary, — The road that Jesus walked for you and me all alone — By the world forsaken, still He shed His blood for me — From the manger to the cross, the rugged cross of Calvary.”
