The Precious Gift From God

Isaiah 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus was a gift from God. Without God being a man, the death and resurrection of Christ means nothing.

With it, His sacrifice means everything. It means the innocent died for the guilty, and that sinners can be saved, if they will come to Jesus by faith.

Yet, there is another gift that will be fulfilled when He comes again. And, He is coming again!

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

That’s why the angels sing about Jesus being Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

“Hark! the herald angels sing, — Glory to the new born King, — peace on earth, and mercy mild, — God and sinners reconciled! — Joyful, all ye nations rise, — join the triumph of the skies; — with th’ angelic host proclaim, — Christ is born in Bethlehem! — Hark! the herald angels sing, — Glory to the new born King!

“Christ, by highest heav'n adored: — Christ, the everlasting Lord; — Late in time behold him come, — Offspring of the favored one. — Veil'd in flesh, the Godhead see; — Hail, th'incarnate Deity: — Pleased, as man, with men to dwell, — Jesus, our Emmanuel! — Hark! the herald angels sing, — Glory to the newborn King!

“Christ, by highest heaven adored; — Christ, the everlasting Lord; — late in time behold him come, — offspring of a virgin’s womb. —Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; — hail th’ incarnate Deity, — pleased as man with man to dwell, — Jesus, our Emmanuel. — Hark! the herald angels sing, — Glory to the new born King! — Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace! — Hail the Sun of Righteousness!”
