Our world is becoming increasingly unfriendly toward God, Christ, the Bible, Christianity and the born again believer. Ancient Babylon, a pagan kingdom, was also unfriendly toward God and His ways.
Shadrach. Meshach and Abednego, Jewish captives with backbones of steel, refused to bow before the King’s image, so the King had them thrown into a fiery furnace. They discovered they were not alone.
Daniel 3:24-25 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Only three came out of the furnace. But Nebuchadnezzar saw four unbound, unhurt--one of them like God. What happened to that fourth man? He's still in the fire. So when you go through the fire---hurting in the valley of despair---you'll find Him waiting for you.
If you are passing through a furnace time, cling to the Lord. Whatever you’re facing, He’s there.
He’ll bring you through it. Trust Him.
