When our spirit droops and we’re unable to rise above our circumstances, there’s help in the Lord.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Waiting is a challenge. We’re prone to want things right now. But “waiting on the Lord” promises rewards. I love the analogy of "Eagle Wings".
It’s wonderful to see the great Eagle stretch those massive wings and with one great flap is airborne. Breaking the grip of gravity, it soars high above this world and its weariness, its dangers, and its problems.
Those who learn to “wait on the Lord”---trust--- find that same kind of liberty in Him. He has a way of helping us break free from the things that bind us, our problems, other people, sins, valleys or emotions.
When we trust in The Lord we exchange our weakness for His strength. We exchange our inability for His ability. We exchange our shortcomings for His completeness.
Did God say “run and not be weary---walk and not faint?” Ahhh, yes He did! I like that. I need that. I believe that.
