To Be Content Like Paul

Philippians 4:11-12 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The Apostle Paul is content in whatever state he’s in---good or bad---pain or hunger---jail or free. Always content? That’s amazing. What’s his secret? He learned it by exercising his faith. “I can…through Christ”, he said. Thats the language of POWER.

Believers serve Paul’s Lord, and we can be content like him. We can have victory over  temptation like Paul. We can have grace for every trial like Paul. We can have strength for every task like Paul. Like Paul, we can face life’s adversities and we can have power to cope regardless of the circumstances, Phil. 4:6-7.

That power came to Paul by exercising his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We can learn from Paul.
