The Apostle Paul was concerned about false teachers creeping into the Colossian Church and the Christians at Laodicea. He prayed for them.
Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Our knowledge of Christ is what keeps us from being deceived. We are sinners saved by grace. We know that we fail God sometimes and we’re not perfect. That’s why we need to continually search the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in God’s Word, apply them to our lives and share them with others.
