It’s wise to look ahead and plan ahead----to live our present in light of the future. An eternal perspective lifts a down-trodden spirit of a believer to that of hope.
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
• Right now my burden is heavy, but one day it will be laid aside.
• Right now I struggle with a sinful nature, but one day there will be no such desires.
• Right now I say good bye to friends, family and loved ones but one day I’ll see them in Heaven.
• Right now Satan has his way in this world, but one day the knowledge of God will fill the earth.
• Right now death is all around me, but one day I will attend the funeral of death.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
